About Tasha Fierce

Tasha Fierce is a 31-year-old sex-positive feminist of color, queer high femme, unabashed fat chick, cupcake lover and Los Angeles native. She’s written about body image, fat acceptance, queer issues, race politics and sexuality for various independent publications online and offline since 1996. Her article “Black Invisibility and Racism in Punk Rock”, from her 1998-2001 zine Bitchcore, appears in the anthology White Riot: Punk Rock and the Politics of Race.

More recently, she has been featured in publications such as Bitch Magazine, Jezebel, Feministe, Racialicious, FWD/Forward, Shapely Prose, Zora & Alice, The Huffington Post and Clutch Magazine.
